Addiction doesn’t look the same for everyone. For some, it’s alcohol, marijuana, or “party drugs.” For others, it shows up as gambling, sex, pornography, food, screen time, or struggles with body image. No matter the form, the experience often feels the same: stuck in painful cycles that drain your health, strain your relationships, and erode your confidence.

The good news? Recovery is possible. With the proper support, you can begin to break free and move toward a healthier, more authentic life. You can begin this work in person at my Las Vegas office, conveniently located near Henderson, NV, or through secure, online addiction therapy available across Nevada.

A Collaborative Approach to Addiction Therapy

Admitting you have an addiction is a powerful first step toward healing. It may take time before you’re ready to acknowledge the problem and share your truth fully. But when you do, you’re on your way to recovery. Just getting ready to change is a stage of healing in itself, and it deserves grace, patience, and compassion.

It’s also common to feel ambivalent about letting go of your addiction. After all, the substance or behavior may have once provided comfort, pleasure, or escape, even if it’s now causing pain. In therapy, we’ll explore this ambivalence together in a safe, non-judgmental space. Wherever you are on your journey, I’ll support you in moving toward lasting change at the pace that feels right for you.

Once you take that step, counseling for addiction becomes a collaborative process where your growth and recovery are the focus.

Together, we will:

  • Discover how addiction affects your brain, mind, and body through valuable psychoeducation. These insights can be eye-opening and empowering.

  • Embrace healthier coping strategies to manage cravings, triggers, and stress.

  • Rebuild confidence and shift your mindset, moving from self-doubt toward empowerment and success.

  • Collaborate with loved ones in family sessions when appropriate to restore trust and intimacy.

Yes. Addiction often impacts loved ones, so I sometimes invite partners or family members into therapy. These sessions can help restore trust, improve communication, and rebuild intimacy.

Many people begin to notice meaningful relief in just a few sessions. Of course, every journey is unique, but change often happens faster than expected.
